We are one of the leaders in hot tub sales and service and pool service in the greater Northeast Ohio area. We have carried the same brand of hot tubs (Hot Spring Spas) for nearly forty years and have some of the most experienced technicians in the industry!

Responsibilities

What Will You Be Doing?

The Service Assistant’s primary role is the delivery of hot tubs and saunas to customers homes, regular pool and spa maintenance (cleaning and water care), and possibly assisting in our warehouse refurbishing or scrapping old tubs. There are opportunities to advance to a full technician and perform complete technical maintenance of pools and spas after tech training both in the classroom and in the field.

  • Delivers products to customer homes with delivery crew

  • Basic water care and cleaning

  • Ride along with Service Technicians to provide assistance and learn

  • May assist at warehouse with refurbishing program

  • Drives company vehicle for business purposes as required

  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment, utilizing all available resources, ensuring safety and security of the employees, customers and property

Qualifications

What You Bring To Us

  • A desire to work with technicians and learn about spa and pool maintenance
  • Experience with pool and spa operation and maintenance, to include water care, a plus but not required
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • A hard work ethic willing to go the extra length to provide a great experience for our customers

Position Overview

The customer service representative will help maintain and develop the most important relationships we have, our customers! The CSR will be responsible for ensuring the customer receives the very best possible hot tub ownership experience. They will be in contact with our customers before, during, and after their sale to provide valuable information to the sales, service, and delivery teams so we can provide the best service possible. They will be able to let each team know of action items needed to fulfill our commitments to the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer communication including updating customers on delivery timelines, manufacturer delays, and any questions customers have regarding their hot tub, swim spa, or sauna delivery
  • Schedule deliveries, valets, and/or service calls
  • Follow-up with customers after delivery to ensure they had a good experience and schedule new customer orientation
  • Send out new customer packages
  • Register customer warranties on all products
  • Update customers in Active Campaign
  • Update leads in SalesForce
  • Other responsibilities and special projects as needed

Position Overview

Great Atlantic Hot Tubs, Swim Spas & Saunas needs a full-time person for local hot tub, swim spa, and sauna deliveries and set up at customer locations throughout Hampton Roads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivers such items as hot tubs, swim spas, and saunas to customer’s home or place of business.
  • Sets up or install the product in the customer’s home.
  • Provides customers with oral and written information on operating and maintaining the product.
  • Informs customers of products and services available through Great Atlantic to maintain and/or enhance the enjoyment of products purchased.
  • Solicits and records customer feedback on satisfaction with service performed.
  • Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
  • Keeps inside and outside of the delivery vehicles clean and neat.
  • Moves products into and out of the showroom as needed. Stocks warehouse and store shelves with products.
  • Performs routine maintenance on the delivery vehicles (i.e. checks oil and tires, etc.) and notifies supervisor when service or maintenance on a vehicle is needed.

  • Must be able to lift 100+ pounds.

Position Overview

Performs routine maintenance and repairs on portable spa and pool equipment at customer’s residence or business location and collects money from the customer if needed per service ticket. Completes and submits paperwork on service work performed to Service Coordinator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collects information from customers and observes the spa in operation to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles spa to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections or changes which may be creating performance problems.
  • Adjusts, repairs, replaces, or cleans defective parts.
  • Provides the customer with information on the nature of the service required and how to avoid future problems, as appropriate.
  • Informs customers of products and services available through Great Atlantic to maintain and/or enhance the enjoyment of their spa.
  • Completes paperwork on service performed, including noting when service performed is covered under warranty.
  • Obtains customer’s signature if the customer is available and collects money from the customer for service performed if no credit card is on file.
  • Solicits feedback from customers on level of satisfaction with service performed.
  • Keeps service delivery vehicle stocked with tools needed to perform service and most frequently needed parts.
  • Initiates purchase orders for parts by advising the service coordinator when parts are low.
  • Keeps inside and outside of service vehicle neat and clean.
  • Completes maintenance records and performs routine maintenance on service vehicle (i.e. check oil and tires, etc.) and notifies supervisor when service or maintenance on the vehicle is needed.
  • Keeps customers informed of changes to the schedule of service visits. 
  • Ex: if you are unable to keep the scheduled visit due to time constraints
  • Ex: Unable to perform service during the specified time.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language Skills

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of Great Atlantic.

Reasoning Ability

Computer Skills

Some exposure to computers is needed to work with Microsoft Outlook for internal company communications and to use the Watkins Hot Spring Spa diagnostic computer program as well as the main POS program.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Other Skills and Abilities

Mechanical skills to include electronics and plumbing, as the position involves working with such parts as pumps, filters, and thermostats.

Position Overview

As a Valet Service Associate, you’ll travel to customers’ homes to help keep their hots tubs clean and in safe, ready to use condition. In addition, you’ll often investigate and communicate potential issues with the customer and help them better understand how to maintain their tub to ensure they have the best ownership experience possible!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Testing and balancing hot tub water to determine the chemical balance and sanitizer levels, test the performance of ozone systems, and investigate minor mechanical issues
  • Cleaning and maintaining hot tubs
  • Installing minor accessories like hot tub covers and lifters
  • Assist customers by determining the root cause of problems related to water chemistry and other hot tub operational issues
  • Working directly with customers to include contacting them prior to arriving on-site, discussing issues and finding while on site, educating them on maintaining and operating their hot tub and suggesting products that will provide solutions and make their ownership experience even better
  • Complete paperwork on customer home visits and then enter the data into the company database. You will need to be able to communicate accurate information to the valet coordinator, other colleagues, and the customer.
  • Keep your service vehicle clean and well-stocked and inform the supervisor if maintenance is required
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Ability to frequently lift 25+ pounds
  • Occasionally lift up to 100+ pounds
  • 1-2 years’ experience in customer service preferred
  • Working knowledge of water chemistry is a plus not required
  • Previous experience in the pool/hot tub industry is a plus but not required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Selling hot tubs, swim spas, saunas, accessories, and other products primarily in our Outer Banks showroom, at customers’ homes, online, via phone, e-mail, text, and/or at off-site events.
  • Maintaining and growing your relationships with our customer base to generate additional business and referrals.

  • Attend training provided in all major product categories and our selling process.

Skills Required
  • 2-3 years of successful sales experience selling large ticket items, preferably in a retail sales environment but will train the right candidate so we encourage anyone to apply!
